Giuseppe Danilo Norata, Prof, PhD, is Professor of Pharmacology at the Department of Pharmacological and Biomolecular Sciences and Coordinator of the Doctorate School of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacological and Biomolecular Sciences at the University of Milan, Italy. He held the positions of Adjunct Professor, School of Biomedical Sciences, Curtin Health Innovation Research Institute, Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia (2016-2018) and of Honorary Senior Lecturer, The Blizard Institute, Barts and The London, School of Medicine & Dentistry Queen Mary University, London (2012-2015). Previously he was Post-Doc at Atherosclerosis Research Unit, Karolinska Hospital, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden (2002-2004). His research activity is devoted to the investigation of molecular mechanisms involved in vascular and cardiometabolic diseases and their connection with immunometabolism from a translational perspective. He is the Head Laboratory of Laboratory of Pharmacology of CardioImmunoMetabolic Disorders. He serves as Editor for Cardiovascular Research and for Atherosclerosis and a member of the editorial board of Atherosclerosis Thrombosis and Vascular Biology (ATVB). He published more than 240 papers in the field of lipids and lipoprotein metabolism, atherosclerosis and immunometabolic diseases. He is the secretary of the AVB Working Group of the European Society of Cardiology.

Prof. Lina Badimon is Professor of Medicine at the Medical School of UVic-UCC and Director of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation for Health and Innovation. Her research activities focus on cardio-metabolic diseases and ischemic heart disease. She has published over 725 articles with her work highly cited (citations: >80,000; H: 115).She has written more of 250 book chapters (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=Badimon+L&show_snippets=off&sort=date).
Previous appointments in Spain include Director of the Cardiovascular Area at IR-Sant Pau Barcelona (2018-2025); Director of the Cardiovascular Sciences Institute-ICCC/CSIC in Barcelona (2003-2018); and in USA, Director of the Cardiology-Research Laboratory and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY and Lecturer in Medicine at Harvard Medical School/Consultant-to-the-Cardiac Unit, at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
She has been Vice-President of European Society of Cardiology and of the Spanish Society of Cardiology, and President of the European Society for Clinical Investigation and of the Spanish Society of Atherosclerosis.

José Luis Ferreiro, MD, PhD is currently Head of the Cardiology Department at the Joan XXIII University Hospital in Tarragona, Spain. He has developed his clinical activity mainly as interventional cardiologist and his research activity has been focused on translational and clinical research in thrombosis and cardiovascular diseases, with a particular interest in variability in response to antiplatelet agents and personalized antithrombotic therapy in the setting of acute coronary syndromes. He has authored or co-authored 154 articles in peer-reviewed journals (h-index 34) and 7 book chapters. Dr. Ferreiro has served as Coordinator of the Working Group on Cardiovascular Thrombosis of the Spanish Society of Cardiology (2016-2020), President of the National Practice Guidelines Committee of the Spanish Society of Cardiology (2020-2023) and is currently Nucleus member (Treasurer) of the Working Group on Thrombosis of the European Society of Cardiology.
