Details

With the advancement in technology and science, an interesting yet complicated field of machine learning and AI (Artificial Intelligence) originated. AI is playing an increasingly significant role in various aspects of basic and clinical research, whether it’s about pattern recognition or personalized medicine. Through AI, we can now analyze different medical images altogether and get a diagnosis of conditions like cancer or neurodegeneration. Moreover, AI helps identify potential drug targets by analyzing biological data (imaging, omics, histology) and identifying patterns associated with diseases. AI algorithms can analyze patient data to predict optimal treatment plans, by considering individual patient characteristics and responses. Did you know that AI algorithms can analyze existing drugs and their effects to identify potential new uses, thereby accelerating the drug development process? Would you trust an AI based model and scientific discovery? How about data security while dealing with AI based models? As a non-computational person, how can you understand an AI based model? Organizers: Stefano Ministrini - University of Zurich, Switzerland. Deeksha Malhan - MSH Medical School Hamburg, Germany. Patricia Filipa Afonso Mendes - Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra, Portugal. Aldo Bonaventura - Medical Center, Ospedale di Circolo e Fondazione Macchi, Varese, Italy. Harshitha Shanmugam - Department of Biomedical Sciences and Human Oncology Policlinico di Bari, Italy. Jamol Uzokov - Republican Specialized Scientific Practical Medical Center of Therapy and Medical Rehabilitation, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Felippe Henrique Zuccolotto dos Reis - Algarve Biomedical Center Research Institute, Faro, Portugal.
